Run the Colorado River

The Colorado River is running out.
So is time.

Right now, ultra-runner and water advocate Mina Guli is running 2,000 miles along the Colorado River, from its source high in the Rocky Mountains to the hot, arid desert where it runs dry.

Behind Mina is a team of dedicated partners, working to raise awareness and drive the conversations and collaboration needed to secure the river’s future.

Why the Colorado River Matters

The Colorado River is the lifeblood of the American West. It feeds farmland, powers cities, drives manufacturing and supplies water to more than 40 million people. Without it, $1.4 trillion in economic wealth is at risk. When the river runs, America thrives.

Why Mina Runs

Mina Guli is running to make the water crisis impossible to ignore. She’s putting herself on the frontline along the Colorado River to raise awareness and bring people together around a clear challenge.

She’s running for the communities, industries and people that depend on the river. And along the way, she’s inviting anyone who cares about water to join in and take part in this epic journey.

A 2,000-mile journey

Mina’s journey begins at the source of the Colorado River, high in the Rocky Mountains. After a summit in Denver, she will embark on a 2,000-mile adventure towards California, leading community runs and water-focused summits along the way to bring together local leaders, innovators, businesses and advocates.

Each mile she runs shows both the scale of the challenge and the determination required to solve it.

It takes a team
to go the distance

Mina is running the miles, but the effort goes far beyond the run itself. Behind Mina is a team of partners working relentlessly to keep the Colorado River running.

A global leader in advanced pump and water technologies, Grundfos helps turn water challenges into practical, measurable action.

Founded by Mina Guli, Thirst Foundation helps turn ambition into action by mobilising governments, companies and communities around water.

The Water Resilience Coalition (WRC) mobilizes corporate action and drives collective, basin‑level impact in water-stressed regions.
